Evolution begins with the right solution

I’m Rob Davis, Health and Wellness Coach, consultant, speaker and master problem solver.

After surviving a career where my job was essentially “complex problem solving,” I focused my solutions-based mindset on repairing my body after military service. The more I learned about the human body’s inherent healing capabilities, the more I sought alternatives to modern medicine. I achieved dramatic results by redefining my role in healthcare decisions: I put myself in charge of my well-being.

Through the study of ancient wellness traditions, I embraced the concept of balance, learning that the ancient warrior life exemplified balance. While honing their warfare skills, ancient warriors also studied music, poetry, and art; they meditated, connected with loved ones, and spent time in nature.

Today, many of us have lost balance and connection, leading to illness. Drawing on my background and experiences, I share from the heart, striving to educate and inspire others on their wellness missions.

Where my compass has led me.

  • A career in Navy Special Ops (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) allowed me the best-possible education in problem-solving.

However, decades of conflict and loss left me with physical, spiritual, and emotional wounds that I had to learn how to heal.

  • Like many veterans, I struggled with multiple physical and mental health issues.

Conventional healthcare focused on symptoms, ignoring root causes and exacerbating the problems.

So, I did the only thing that made sense.  I sold my belongings, left the US and created my own path to a healing solution.

  • To learn how to sleep, and to rebuild my core being, I studied meditation and Vedic (yogic) healing practices on three continents.

I also immersed myself in Daoist healing (including 7,500+ hours of qigong, meditation, and tai chi) on Mount Wudang, China for two years with Master Tang Li Lang.  While there, I rebuilt neural pathways, stopped a decade of chronic pain, and learned how to heal my body.

  • Before returning to the US, I distilled what I had learned into deliverable elements, so others could benefit from my experiences without having to leave the United States.

To be more effective, I earned a Master’s Degree in Health and Wellness Coaching.

Concurrently, I launched a successful nonprofit that serves veterans and their families.

  • Life can change in an instant. Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs)  are cumulative, making my most recent one the worst.

A head-on collision by a hit-and-run driver left me unable to: work, think critically, communicate, function without assistance, and much more. I was told recovery was highly unlikely.

After two years of pain, armed with unremitting tenacity and the knowledge that the brain can heal, I was able to rejoin society and be productive once again.

  • By connecting with medical pioneers and researchers on this healing journey, I’ve learned how to guide others out of the fog created by TBIs.

Effective treatment of brain injuries requires applying the right resources in the right order. One in 60 Americans suffer from a TBI, and most are far from the path of recovery.

As a result of my experiences, I’ve become well-versed on the subject of TBI treatment and recovery.

Connection is the first step.
